PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT REGISTRATIONS ARE CLOSED.  WE ARE TAKING 'CASH ENTRIES' AT THE ZOO ON SUNDAY MORNING FROM 06H15.  YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO FILL IN YOUR NAME, TELEPHONE NUMBER, EMAIL ADDRESS AND EMERGENCY CONTACT NUMBER. WHERE POSSIBLE PLEASE BRING ALONG CORRECT AMOUNT OF MONEY IE R80 ADULTS / R40 AGE 125 TO 3 AND UNDER 3 NO CHARGE - MANY THANKS AND SEE YOU ON SUNDAY  

JOHANNESBURG  : ALL WALKERS MUST ENTER THROUGH THE ZOO ENTRANCE ON UPPER PARK DRIVE ONLY. THE JAN SMUTS AVENUE ENTRANCE WILL BE CLOSED FOR REGISTRATION BUT YOU CAN LEAVE AFTER THE WALK FROM THIS ENTRANCE. THERE WILL BE NO PARKING AVAILABLE AT THIS ENTRANCE BUT FREE PARKING HAS BEEN SECURED AT ZOO LAKE OR IN THE STREET WHERE POSSIBLE. THIS IS DUE TO STRICT SECURITY LAWS.  IF YOU HAVE ENTERED ONLINE PLEASE GO TO THE ENTER ONLINE DESKS AND IF YOU ARE PAYING CASH PLEASE GO TO THE CASH DESKS.  THEY WILL ALL BE CLEARLY MARKED.   COFFEE/TEA WILL BE AVAILABLE IN THE REGISTRATION AREA.  

OPENING TIMES FOR REGISTRATION - 06H15 TO 08H15. PLEASE BRING ALONG YOUR CONFIRMATIONS.  IF YOU ARE PAYING CASH PLEASE BRING ALONG AN ENTRY FORM AND IF POSSIBLE THE CORRECT AMOUNT OF MONEY TO AVOID DELAY.   IF YOU HAVE PRE-REGISTERED YOU WOULD JUST NEED TO SHOW YOUR CAUSE BANGLE AT THE GATE FOR ENTRY AT THE UPPER PARK DRIVE ENTRANCE. 

ON ARRIVAL AT UPPER PARK DRIVE THERE WILL BE 3 QUEUES NAMELY : ENTER ONLINE, ANGELS WALKING ENTRIES AND CASH ENTRIES.  PLEASE FOLLOW MARKERS. 

CHILDREN - PARENTS PLEASE WRITE YOUR CELL PHONE NUMBER ON YOUR CHILD'S ARM SHOULD THEY GET LOST. ANY CHILD LOST MUST BE BROUGHT TO THE ANGELS WALKING STAND AND WE WILL PHONE THE PARENTS.

ON ARRIVAL YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR ID WRIST BAND WHICH YOU MUST SHOW FOR ENTRY AND A CAUSE RIBBON.  

THE ORGANISER OF THE BIGGEST GROUP IN JOHANNESBURG WILL WIN TWO SUPER SUITE HOSPITALITY TICKETS TO WATCH THE LIONS VS CHEETAHS AT ELLIS PARK ON 13 AUGUST

Entry fee is R80.00 for adults, R40.00 children from age 15 and no charge to children under the age of 3.    

1. Once you have completed the walk you will receive a certificate. This walk is purely a walk for cancer which you do in your own time and not a race.
2. The distance is 4 kms and is a different route from last year.   
3. Starting times : pro walkers 8.20 - other 8.30.
4. Mom's with prams please walk at the back or on the sides.
5. Entertainment will be provided after the walk and food and drinks will be available from the various vendors.
6. Refunds will only be made should the event be cancelled.
7. Once monies paid this cannot be transferred to another person. Should you wish to cancel this must be put in writing.
8. All minors under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
9. All walkers are responsible for their own medical condition but we have a full medical team to assist.
10. Disabled participants may take part and disabled toilets will be provided.
11. No pets including guide dogs are permitted.
12. Prams and wheelchairs are permitted.
13. Teams are permitted in team colours and are welcome to carry banners.
14. Please make sure you provide correct email address and telephone numbers for confirmations.
15. Vitality points can be claimed by online entries only. 
16. Toilets are provided.
17. THE ZOO DOES NOT ALLOW BICYCLES, SCOOTERS, SKATEBOARDS OR ANY OTHER RIDES OF A SIMILAR NATURE OR BALLOONS.
18. You are welcome to bring along blankets, camping chairs and picnic baskets.
19. The closing time of the event is 13h30. You are welcome to spend the rest of the afternoon at the Zoo
20. Please bring along some money to buy wings and other goodies up for sale. Massages, reiki etc will be charged at a nominal fee.
21. Please notify organisers of any disabilities or medical conditions.
22. Raffle tickets will be on sale and drawn at 12.30.  The cost for tickets is R10 each. 
23. Prizes will be given out to the 10 best wings on children, women and men and this will be done from the Healthy Living Village.
24. Please  enter through the registrations either marked 'ONLINE' or "CASH'.  
25. ALL PARKING IS OPPOSITE THE ZOO'S MAIN ENTRANCE ON JAN SMUTS AVENUE AT ZOO LAKE ON THE GRASS. PLEASE NOTE THIS HAS ALL BEEN PAID FOR SO DO NOT PAY IF ANYONE TRIES TO CHARGE YOU. THERE WILL BE FULL SECURITY IN THE PARKING AREA SO IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM PLEASE REPORT THIS TO THEM AS IT IS ILLEGAL.
